Antibiotics Anti Infectives

Share: FacebookTwitterStumble
Antibiotics are a chemical substance derivable from a mold or bacterium that can kill microorganisms and cure bacterial infection. Our range of antibiotic drugs is manufactured following an extensive research & development process to ensure maximum effectiveness & safety. These antibiotic drugs that are mainly used as life saving drugs and better known as “wonder drugs”. Utilized for the treatment of various infections and complicated diseases, these antibiotics are either Bactericidal (kills the bacteria) or Bacteriostatic (prevent the growth of bacteria). Our range of antibiotic drugs is acclaimed in the industry for their quick efficiency and harmless contents and is offered in the different types.

Erythromycin Estolate

Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that has an antimicrobial spectrum similar to or slightly wider than that of penicillin, and is often used for people who have an allergy to penicillins. For respiratory tract infections, it has better coverage of atypical organisms, including mycoplasma and Legionellosis.

18)Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Like other third-generation cephalosporins, it has broad spectrum activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. In most cases, it is considered to be equivalent to cefotaxime in terms of safety and efficacy.

Ceftriaxone is often used (in combination, but not direct, with macrolide and/or aminoglycoside antibiotics) for the treatment of community-acquired or mild to moderate health care-associated pneumonia. It is also a choice drug for treatment of bacterial meningitis. In pediatrics, it is commonly used in febrile infants between 4 and 8 weeks of age who are admitted to the hospital to exclude sepsis. The dosage for acute ear infection in the very young is 50 mg/Kg IM, one dose only. It has also been used in the treatment of Lyme disease, typhoid fever and gonorrhea.]

Intravenous dosages may be adjusted for body mass in younger patients and is administered every 12–24 hours, at a dose that depends on the type and severity of the infection.

For the treatment of gonorrhea, a single intramuscular injection is usually given. Treatment for chlamydia infection is also recommended (usually with azithromycin) unless it is specifically ruled out.

Norfloxacin

Norfloxacin is a synthetic chemotherapeutic agent  occasionally used to treat common as well as complicated urinary tract infections.

  • Complicated urinary tract infections
  • Uncomplicated urethral and cervical gonorrhea (however this indication is no longer considered to be effective by some experts due to bacterial resistance)
  • Prostatitis due to Escherichia coli.

Syphilis treatment: Norfloxacin has not been shown to be effective in the treatment of syphilis. Antimicrobial agents used in high doses for short periods of time to treat gonorrhea may mask or delay the symptoms of incubating syphilis.

Ofloxacin

We are involved in offering pure and safe Ofloxacin, which belongs to Flouroquinolone group. The products offered by us processed following extensive research and development process. These products are widely used for various infections and complicated diseases. Following are the features for which are these are being appreciated:

  • No harmless content
  • Quick efficiency
  • Effective

Nitrofurantoin

Nitrofurantoin: is an antibiotic which is marketed under the following brand names; Furadantin, Macrobid, Macrodantin, Nitrofur Mac, Nitro Macro and Urantoin. It is usually used in treating urinary tract infection. Like many other drugs, it is often used against E. coli.

Uses:

Resistance to other antibiotics has led to increased interest in this agent. It is sometimes described as being appropriate to use in pregnant patients (along with other agents such as sulfisoxazole or cephalexin). This is in contrast to agents such as trimethoprim and ciprofloxacin which may not be appropriate for pregnant women.

Ciprofloxacin Tinidazole

Tinidazole is an anti-parasitic drug used against protoz11oan infections. It is widely known throughout. Europe and the developing world as treatment for a variety of amoebic and parasitic infections.

Uses:

A large body of clinical data exists to support use of tinidazole for infections from amoebae, giardia and trichomonas, just like metronidazole. Tinidazole may be a therapeutic alternative in the setting of metronidazole tolerance.

Tinidazole may also be used to treat or prevent a variety of other bacterial infections, including Helicobacter pylori.

Nalidixic Acid

Nalidixic acid  is the first of the synthetic quinolone antibiotics.

Synthetic quinolone antibiotics were discovered as a byproduct of quinine manufacture in the 1960s.

Nalidixic acid is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. In lower concentrations, it acts in a bacteriostatic manner; that is, it inhibits growth and reproduction. In higher concentrations, it is bactericidal, meaning that it kills bacteria instead of merely inhibiting their growth.

It is especially used in treating urinary tract infections, caused, for example, by Escherichia coli, Proteus, Shigella, Enterobacter, and Klebsiella.. It is also a tool in studies as a regulation of bacterial division. It selectively and reversibly blocks DNA replication in susceptible bacteria. Nalidixic acid and related antibiotics inhibit a subunit of DNA gyrase and induce formation of relaxation complex analogue. It also inhibits the nicking dosing activity on the subunit of DNA gyrase that release the positive binding stress on the supercoiled DNA.

Doxycycline HCL

Doxycycline is a member of the tetracycline antibiotics group and is commonly used to treat a variety of infections. Doxycycline is a semi-synthetic tetracycline invented and clinically developed in the early 1960s by Pfizer Inc.

As well as the general indications for all members of the tetracycline antibiotics group, Doxycycline is frequently used to treat chronic prostatitis, sinusitis, syphilis, chlamydia, pelvic inflammatory disease, acne, rosacea, and Rickettsial infections.

Tetracycline

Tetracyclines are a group of broad-spectrum antibiotics whose general usefulness has been reduced with the onset of bacterial resistance. Despite this, they remain the treatment of choice for some specific indications.

Tetracyclines may be used in the treatment of infections of the respiratory tract, sinuses, middle ear, urinary tract, intestines, and also gonorrhoea, especially in patients allergic to β-lactams and macrolides; however, their use for these indications is less popular than it once was due to widespread resistance development in the causative organisms.

Their most common current use is in the treatment of moderately severe acne and rosacea (tetracycline, oxytetracycline, doxycycline or minocycline).

Sparfloxacin

Sparfloxacin (spar FLOX a sin), trade names Zagam and Zagam Respipac, is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It has a controversial safety profile. Zagam is no longer available in the United States.
